AOL joins Buscemi on Park Bench

AOL has teamed up with Boardwalk Empire star Steve Buscemi on unscripted web series Park Bench.

Set in New York City, Park Bench sees Buscemi discuss everything from pop culture to current events with the city’s celebrity residents. FremantleMedia International (FMI) will shop the series at MipTV next week.

The show is produced by Olive Productions and FremantleMedia’s RadicalMedia. Filming begins this month in NYC.

AOL will deliver Park Bench online in the US via its AOL Originals platform. The deal follows on from AOL’s move into longform series earlier this week, when it commissioned a US version of Israeli factual entertainment format Connected.

Wren Arthur and Buscemi are exec producing Park Bench for Olive Productions, while Justin Wilkes, Joe Killian and Jon Doran are doing the same for RadicalMedia.
